Marketing Lead

About the role

Webgarh is at an inflection point. Its services and products have strong market fit, but the growth engine is still founder-led. This role exists to build and own a dedicated marketing function that generates a predictable, scalable pipeline, reduces dependence on any single channel, and frees the leadership team to focus on product strategy and partnerships.

This is an ownership role, not an advisory one. The successful candidate will take full responsibility for marketing strategy and execution across all Webgarh brands within 90 days of joining. For the first 6–12 months, the role will involve a 60/40 split between hands-on execution and strategic planning, shifting to 30/70 as the team matures.

What you'll do

  • Define quarterly marketing plans with measurable KPIs including MQLs, pipeline value, cost per lead, and channel contribution.
  • Build and maintain Ideal Customer Profiles for each brand, including Webgarh, GTM Assistant, Rebato, Dofeeds, and Varnz.ai.
  • Conduct competitive analysis of leading Shopify agencies and eCommerce SaaS companies globally.
  • Collaborate with the Business Analytics function to translate market intelligence into actionable campaigns.
  • Build and manage a marketing team of 4–5 professionals, including Content Marketer, Social Media Manager, Email Marketing & Ops, LinkedIn Outreach Specialist, and Freelance Platform Specialist.
  • Set daily and weekly activity targets, conduct quality reviews, and run structured team standups.
  • Write, review, and optimise outreach sequences and email campaigns personally when required.
  • Create or edit marketing collateral including pitch decks, one-pagers, landing pages, and product walkthroughs.
  • Set up and optimise marketing automation funnels, workflows, and reporting dashboards.
  • Run A/B tests on subject lines, outreach copy, landing pages, and campaign creatives.
  • Own content marketing with a minimum of 4 blog posts per month, 2 case studies per quarter, and Shopify ecosystem thought leadership.
  • Manage LinkedIn company brand presence, founder brand support, and outbound pipeline coordination.
  • Manage email nurture sequences, newsletters, product launch announcements, and drip campaigns.
  • Manage multi-brand social media presence on LinkedIn, X, and Instagram.
  • Explore Shopify Partner ecosystem opportunities, co-marketing, and guest placements.
  • Submit weekly team activity reports and pipeline updates to the CEO.
  • Submit monthly channel performance reports covering leads by source, conversion rates, cost per lead, and revenue attribution.
  • Conduct quarterly strategic reviews covering what worked, what failed, resource reallocation, and next-quarter planning.
